About This Qualification
This is an Open Award. The qualification is supported by the Merchant Navy Training Board, and forms part of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency certification for Tug Masters.

Assessment and Certification
The Master Tug <3000gt qualification requires you to complete an evidence portfolio to show the tasks you have completed at work. Evidence can take the form of professional discussion, observation, witness testimonies and/or supporting documentary evidence. Your assessor will work alongside you to confirm you have met the requirements of the qualification and are competent in your role.
