STCW – Training Week

About This Course

STCW requires all seafarers to receive basic safety training in accordance with section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code.

The STCW Basic Safety Training Week is made up of four courses which meet the minimum STCW familiarisation and basic safety training requirements. They can be booked either as a 5-day package over one week or booked individually. Please note it is cheaper for you to book the 5-day package.

Although it is not a mandatory part of the basic safety training programme, we have included the Proficiency in Security Awareness course during this week at no extra cost for those who book the 5-day package.

Please note: The 2 days STCW fire training course will be delivered by our partner organisation STCW Fire Training Ltd. at the Kingskerswell site, near Newton Abbot. STCW Fire Training Ltd. will issue the relevant fire certification.

The remaining 3 days training takes place in our Plymouth training centre, with the practical sea survival drills at the Plymouth Life Centre Diving Pool.
